 QUEZON DAY CELEBRATION
 
 

       The municipality of Guinayangan participated today in the provincial wide Celebration of Quezon Day in honor of the 1st Commonwealth President of the Republic of the Philippines, Manuel Luis Quezon.  A civic-military parade was held around town followed by a program and flower offering for Pres. Manuel Quezon.  Hundreds of elementary pupils, high school and technical school students in the municipality joined the parade which was lead by Mayor Manuel M. Butardo, the Sangguniang Bayan, the PNP, the local government officials and employees, the DepEd teachers and all other active civic organizations in Guinayangan.  Hon. SB Member Fernando D. Fontanilla served as the Guest Speaker for this year's celebration.

         Quezon Day is a special non-working holiday in the Province of Quezon and in Quezon City.

 DR. RUTCHIL C. CHITO PASSED PHYSICIAN LICENSURE EXAMINATION
 
 

       RUTCHIL C. CHITO, M.D., of Jose Rizal Street, Poblacion, Guinayangan, Quezon passed the Physician Licensure Examination given this month by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in Manila.  Dr. Chito finished his Doctor of Medicine Degree at the Far Eastern University, Manila.  He is also a registered nurse having passed the PRC Licensure Examination for Nurse on 1997.  He took up his elementary education at Guinayangan Elementary School from June 1983 to March 1989.  He finished his secondary education at Guinayangan Academy on March 1993. Doc Rutchil is 27 years old and is the eldest son of the late Mr. Guillermo Chito and Mrs. Lily Carrios.

 

       Dr. Chito will take his oath as a licensed Physician on September 14, 2003 at the PICC.

 SINGLES FOR CHRIST BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
 
 

        The SINGLES FOR CHRIST (SFC) Guinayangan Chapter - Batch 3 had their Baptism of the Holy Spirit today.  Thirty two (32) brothers and sixteen (16) sisters attended the baptism and joined the mini praise fest that last until the early evening.  The baptism was held successfully at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Parish Catholic Center thru the assistance of SFC Batch 1 & 2 and of the Couples for Christ elders who unselfishly showed their full support for the soon to be members of the Singles for Christ community. The Music Ministry of SFC Lopez also provided their services in leading the community singing and lively praising.  The 38 participants still have to attend three (3) more Talks to complete the three modules of their Christian Life Program (CLP) and become full pledge members of the SFC.  They are expected to finish the CLP on their Dedication Day scheduled on September 14, 2003.

 ELEMENTARY TEACHERS TAKE ENGLISH PROFICIENCY EXAMINATION
 
 

           Today, 98 Elementary Grades Teachers in the District of Guinayangan took the English Proficiency Examination given by the DepEd Division Office for all elementary teachers handling Grades IV to VI in the Division of Quezon.  The examination aim to get the English proficiency of intermediate teachers in the Division.  The examination was held at Sariaya East Elementary School in Sariaya, Quezon.
